we will get there in the end

Change of plans today. As I am finding out happens quite regularly around here. WE ended up at AFESIP TOM DY centre to celebrate International Women's Day. Unplanned and unorganised but an emotional day for the girls. Somaly Mam herself was there which all the girls could not stop smiling about, but when the did some entertainment an reenacted a play about a typical girl from the farm getting taken to a brothel there were tears everywhere.

I have taken several photos of here but unsure what I am allowed to use yet - so keep posted.
We got to witness alot more of the outskirts today and they are definitely that.
We are so blessed in Australia.
Women work extremely hard and all people children, and adults alike have to withstand the constant dust and long hours to make a living of only about $500 -$1000 a year.
Yes food is very cheap but the fuel is on par with us about $1.10.
But they are always so thankful and so happy - something we could take note of.
I did get to feed an elephant today and see monkeys in a park as well as release a bird to make a wish on - the street kids then go and catch more birds to put back in cages to do the same thing again. But this is all how everyone gets to make a living - even children.

I am exhausted already and only day three - have a tummy upset - but have downloaded hundreds of images - only a few will make the cut so far though.
