About

I would like to invite you to come on a journey with me, award-winning photographer Vicki Wood as I explore the plight of the Cambodian people and witness the sights, tastes and experiences of Cambodia for two weeks in March 2011.
On returning from Cambodia I will be holding a fundraising event for the Somaly Mam Foundation  on Friday, May 27, 2011.
This event will be the opening night of my photographic exhibition Going Cheap which will highlight what I witness in Cambodia. On my travels I will visit an orphanage, temples, schools, a dump, dine with a family and spend International Women’s Day in an AFESIP Centre.
Somaly Mam Foundation and AFESIP are devoted to ‘humanly correct development’ to fight against the trafficking of women and children for sex slavery. AFESIP aims to secure victim’s rights by providing holistic care through a victim centre approach with the long term goal of success and permanent rehabilitation and reintegration.
You can watch this space to keep up to date on how the fundraiser will unfold. Who is supporting the event, what will happen at the event, find out where to purchase tickets from and especially follow me while I am over there on my blog.
