The first milestone has been reached. I have launched the webpage at an event at Spinnaker Marina with the help of BPW Caboolture and Spinnaker Marina.

Now hopefully more people will be aware of the project and jump on the blogspace to follow the journey along. You will all be able to log on regularly and hear about what we are up to in Cambodia, who we have met and what we have seen, as well as look at how the fundraising event is going.
Julie Schrag, Jan Page and Bronwen Jackman are all as excited as I am about the trip and what we can do back home to help.

But for my next personal milestone is what to pack. Two weeks in Cambodia with the average temperature over 30 degrees and we must follow local customs and be covered on our shoulders and knees. Something not many Australians are used to. Lots of the areas are dusty or muddy so trusty thongs are in order, but good point by Julie is to have a strap at the back so no mud flicks up.

My bag would be really light with nice thin cotton clothes except for all the cables and extras I have to pack. Two cameras, lenses, all the girly lotions of course and all the IT stuff to hook me up with downloading. At least I can get a regular massage over there after carrying around all that weight.
