Although we have been inundated with the relentless rain the last few days and floods that I have never witnessed before - I have managed to make some progress on my project.
Firstly I have bruises from where three different needles have been plunged into my arms, and with all the debris, mud and threat of sickness in these flooded conditions I am probably glad that I got them.
But with a count down of six and a half weeks left before we head on our big adventure, the pressure is on to have everything sorted before I go. And I do not just mean packing.
I am frantically putting together emails and contacts to find people to get behind and support this project. I am looking for sponsors to donate funds so that the entire proceeds of the fundraiser can go back to the AFESIP centres and people to help with in-kind donations. By the end oft he month I will have a full list up on the webpage on how you can contribute or in the mean time post on the blogspot.
It will be a great night to support - if you ask me it will be one of the main events of 2011 in Caboolture - well that is the aim. A night of great images to witness, entertainment, great prize giveaways and the feeling of helping others. So keep on watching this space.
